I've been here a few times since moving to Smithville and I absolutely love it. The food is consistently good, the drinks are great, prices are reasonable, and the service is always quick. Definitely one of my go-to spots in town.
We walked in at 7:40pm, not realizing that they closed at 8p. Our waitress, Veronika, was so kind and assured us that they were happy to host us. The place smelled pleasant (no cleaning chemical smell) and was also extremely clean! The food was very flavorful, tasted freshly made, and the taco salad had a wonderfully crispy shell!! The drinks were also delicious! This is now my go-to for Mexican food in the Bastrop area.
Great food, great staff, amenities leave a little to be desired. Wait times can be hit/miss. Most of the time, it's great. Seating is fast, service is fast, food is fast. Sometimes, especially late afternoon, it can get busy and if they aren't staffed, it can be a bit slow. 3/4 times it was great.(updated January 2023) The tortilla chips are amazing. Best restaurant chips I've had, salsa is solid. Sweet tea is ok. They often bring a nice pitcher of sweet tea for the table if multiple people have sweet tea which makes refills easier for everyone, huge plus. Food is always good. I've had several different dishes, as well as friends and family having a variety and nothing has ever been bad. The fried beef fajita burrito is amazing. Shrimp and beef fajita quesadillas are great. Kids plates are good size.
I decided to give this restaurant a try despite some negative feedback that was left. It truly was fairly priced and there were many options to choose from. My son got the tamale plate and ended up tasting one and not liking it, we explained to the waitress and she was really nice about the situation and took it off our bill. We walked in literally like 6 minutes before they closed and they still served us! The food was hot and we didn’t wait very long for it. I got the nachos to share w/ my 6 year old and that plate was STACKED!!! Huge!!! The restaurant looked clean as well. Our server was Britney.
Really good chips and salsa! Best part. the food is normally good each time we go. the restaurants are similar to each other. they have more than one location and I've been to 3 of them. I will return
Service was great. Servers are nice and friendly. Breakfast tacos were pretty big size and delicious. We are definitely coming back.
Food here is always delicious! Shrimp fajita, beef fajita, Garcia's deluxe , cali chicken, kids enchilada, chalupa plate all was yummy, the staff was amazing our waitress Jasmine was wonderful very attentive and always kept our cup drinks full ...
One of our favorite Mexican restaurant in the Bastrop area. We love the chicken fried chicken with queso and pico on top and also the chicken tortilla soup, you must try those items if you come. Awesome customer service and great food, I highly recommend!
